Today I was really feeling homesick, so I thought I would talk about my fabulous hometown. I am from Mobile, Alabama and I moved there when I was six years old. It was a big change from living in the big city of Atlanta to the suburbs of North Mobile. I loved it! It is warm in the spring, fall, and hot in the summer; which is great if you are cold natured like me. The lowest it gets in Mobile in the winter is usually about thirty-four degrees and that is rare!
I also love the activities that are always in Mobile. Of course, Mardi Gras is a huge deal, especially since New Orleans was messed up in Katrina. Now Mobile is the Mardi Gras City to be at! I love Mardi Gras! It is always so exciting and the parades are so beautiful and you get free moon pies. Who can argue with free moon pies? Not to mention w get out of school for Mardi Gras. So you can imagine my sorrow when I realized MC does not get out for Mardi Gras!
Another great thing about Mobile is how close it is to the beach! I love the beach and so I am really glad I live close to it. We are about 45 minutes away from GulfShores and about and hour and a half from Destin Florida. Isn’t that awesome? I love Mobile!
